In addition to setting and monitoring safety standards for diving instruction, the association publishes teaching materials in 26 world languages that are uniform worldwide and thus inspire the highest level of trust. For these reasons, the certificate - a qualification card obtained after completing the course is valid worldwide and without a time limit.

PADI stands for Professional Association of Diving Instructors, which is the most widespread diving association in the world. Padi was founded in 1966 by John Cronin and Ralph Erickson. PADI issues an average of 950,000 certifications per year, of which an average of 550,000 are from core courses.  About 75% of licensed divers are divers who have completed a course in the Padi program.

Padi's goal is to professionally educate recreational divers in a fun and above all safe way. The education system is divided into several levels from the basic OWD course to the professional Divemaster courses. Each diver can choose the level he wants to learn.
